The Malatesta is built on the same blade as the 303S but with a longer tang. While the Kriegschwert is also the same blade type it is a different blade than those two. Sonny

Any news on this sword? Plans for different colors in the CSS? Approximate date they'll be shipping? I can't wait for this blade to release! I'm seriously looking at it as my sword for the year.

It should be soon. It will be worth the wait.

The Malatesta is currently stuck in customs. I had a similar experience when we brought over the First Gen 303s and 304s. There is no telling how long it will take them to release these to us. The problem stems from something the forge forgot to do that is required prior to shipping to the US. I am working the issue and when I get any news I will post it here.

I believe it was a minor technicality like "The country of origin" not being applied to the container? A shame to have waited for so long already. I can almost feel it in my hands. Truely a fine piece of work Sonny. If you had showed me one, without knowing who designed it I would have immediately thought it was from Albion. All the better that i could afford to have it on my modest budget.

I just have to ask; how can the Malatesta be built on the same blade as the 304S when the 304S has a 36" long blade and the Malatesta's is merely 33" long? Am I missing something? Thanks; I can't wait to get one of these beauties! But, first, I gotta get some money. -Brogdon
